Weekly Goals to Accomplish

Week Number Five: Back to the eating! This week we are going to focus on getting healthy by eating lots of fruit and vegetables. Three to five servings, in fact. Dietary guidelines say five, but that can be rigorous for some (like me) so we can start out small and say three. That would be a vast improvement in my life right now.

While fresh fruit and vegetables can be harder to store and prepare, they are much better for you and give you so many vitamins, antioxidants, fiber, and other nutrients that you need. I think most of us reading this blog know how important they are, so I won't go on too long. Just know that they pretty much improve every aspect of your body when you eat them. They also have WAY less calories and so you can eat lots of fruit and vegetables to stay full but without all the calories AND with the added nutrient benefits.

So lets all do what we know we should, eat those fruits and veggies! I always have so much more energy, feel so much better, and eat way less when I'm good with my intake of fruit and vegetables.

  1. Kari, i thought of another weekly goal would be to cut out all sugar and white flour. let me know if you want to try.
